Standardized workflows for large cohort plasma profiling

Together, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Evosep are on a joint mission to develop standardized and scalable plasma protein quantitative profiling workflows. Our recent developments have been featured in an application note by the Precision Medicine Science Centre led by Dr. Emily Chen.

For a reliable conclusion, the proteomics workflow identifying these markers must be robust and scalable in order to run hundreds or thousands of samples. Therefore, the aim of the study was to develop a standardized, high throughput, and reproducible workflow for bloodbased biomarker discovery using automated sample preparation.

The workflow used in the app note consisted of an automated sample preparation method and analysis of samples on an Evosep One LC system coupled to a Thermo Scientific™ Q Exactive™ HF-X mass spectrometer and can be extensible to other Orbitrap or quadrupole-orbitrap series system.
