AUTOMATED SAMPLE LOADING USING THE Biomek i-Series
The Beckman Coulter Biomek i-Series supports efficient and reproducible sample loading onto Evotips. The automated sample loading uses a layered sandwich approach with defined air gaps between the layers. Subsequently, the layers are pushed through the Evotip by applying positive pressure created by the Multichannel-96 head (5-1200 μL), leaving the Evotip ready for injection on the Evosep One.
The automated protocol can be used on both the i5 and i7 workstations with the Multichannel-96 head (5-1200 μL). To run this protocol, a Evotip Loading Kit (Biomek i5/i7 1200 μL 96-Channel head) is required (EV-1183, Evosep).
The Automated Evotip loading protocol can be combined with upstream sample preparation workflows as illustrated in this application note.
